COUNTRY ROUND:
SHOWCASE
The ASEAN-China-India Youth Leadership Summit is a dynamic platform that unites young Asian leaders from across the region for a vibrant and collaborative future.
Sustainability is a crucial topic of our time, where we face numerous environmental and social challenges, including climate change, food security, and clean energy. Despite this, the interconnectedness of our world presents an opportunity for the younger generation to reshape it with their talent and innovation. That’s why for 2024, the selected theme will be “Reimagine – Eco-Cities”.
To advance sustainable development, our programme will focus specifically on addressing two United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs):
Goal 7:
AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY
To ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.
Why?
Access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy is crucial to achieving many of the Sustainable Development Goals. Energy access, however, varies widely across countries and the current rate of progress falls short of what will be required to achieve the Goal. Redoubled efforts will be needed, particularly for countries with large energy access deficits and high energy consumption.
Goal 11:
Sustainable Cities and Communities
To make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
Why?
This goal recognises the importance of cities as centres of economic growth and innovation, but also acknowledges that they can contribute to environmental degradation, social inequality, and other challenges. Achieving this goal requires a wide range of actions, including improving access to affordable housing, enhancing public transportation, reducing pollution, and promoting green spaces.

Problem statement:
SDG 11: Problem Statement: Bad quality of water within the community causing Dengue Fever, Lack of Dissolve Oxygen for fish and Environment Degradation
Proposal details:
Make a surface water aeration device that is powered by solar panels for clean energy. The Aeration process will kill the mosquito larvae which reduce Dengue Disease Carrier (Mosquitos) in the water as well as improve the DO Level in the water which is usually the cause of Fish for fish farmers or any marine life both in the city and countryside.
